The area of 4x4 attractions in western Serbia(precise tracks available to clients)
A vast network of several thousand kilometres of forest and open space trails, ranging from perfect, smooth dirt roads good enough for passenger cars to some adrenaline packed „winch only“ trails in deep mud or extreme steep passages, you will be overwhelmed by the ever changing natural beauty that surrounds you everywhere.
You will experience just about everything that makes up a perfect Jeep holliday – dense forests, deep canyons (Drina canyon is 1000 m deep!), beautiful lakes, grassy ridges with vistas that will force you to stop the cars and enjoy the views, monasteries and ancient history, passing by waterfalls, crossing wild mountain rivers, and see the traditional way of life in the wooden mountain huts.
Boat rides through the Drina canyon or on Uvac lake to the Ice cave are treats that should not be missed!
Extensive availability of comfortable three, four and even five star mountain chalets makes it easy to plan your daily tours, either based in one place, or sleeping in a different place every night. As far as the traditional cuisine is concerned, you can eat at some of the many fine restaurants, or even have the food delivered and served outdoors in some of the most breathtaking scenery, such as the Bilješke stene scenic view. And, of course, the Šargan tourist railway is well worth spending a few hours enjoying the views.
There are exquisite possibilities to extend the tour further south to visit the Uvac lakes and Pešter highlands, Zlatar and Jadovnik mountains and Sopotnica waterfalls, as well as several more medieval monasteries. Further to the east we can wind towards Javor, Golija and Kopaonik, Željin and Goč mountains, or we can even connect into Montenegro from Kamena Gora, making it a combination of tours from our programme – possibilities are limited only by imagination, and that we have in abundance.
Although we have some extraordinarily comfortable small mountain hotels in ethno-style (such as the Tara mountain house or Vraneša ethno-village) in this area, if you prefer nomadic travel with wild camping, western Serbia can provide some memorable spots to camp far from the crowds just like eastern Serbia. So don’t be turned off by the somewhat more tourist oriented environment!

Tour preparation and execution
For western Serbian tours you’ll meet your guide in Belgrade, the capitol of Serbia, from where you’ll head off together towards the southwest. Please secure that you have your travel insurance before starting the tour. The starting point of the offroad portion will depend on the duration and length of the tour and your preferences communicated in the planning process. If you choose a wild camping tour instead of hotel accomodation, on day one, before heading off into wilderness areas, you’ll get a chance to replenish your food supplies for the tour. Petrol stations are more widely available in western Serbia, so a range of 150 km between refills would be sufficient. The tours can be conducted either as based in one place making roundtrips, or switching bases several times to cover a wider territory (will be defined in the planning process for your tour). The list of natural, historic and cultural points of interest that we will visit during the tour depends on your group’s preferences, as well as possible boat trips, train rides, cave visits and other tourist points.
